LOLER Thorough Examinations

Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 there is a legal requirement placed on anyone who owns, operates or has control over specified lifting equipment to insure it is examined at set intervals by a suitably competent person.

Here at Black Rope we are able to inspect all forms of
PPE/ Climbing Equipment used in Arb, Rope Access, Outdoor Activities and more. All Items involved with the lifting of a person at any point must be examined at least every
6 months.
We can also inspect equipment used in rigging situations such as ropes and bollards in Arb, Crane slings and associated accessories.
Rigging equipment not involved with lifting a person at any point is to be examined at least every 12 months.

These timeframes should be viewed as a minimum and equipment may require an inspection at an earlier date if it is exposed to adverse conditions such as salty or corrosive environments, an overload event, a rescue/ accident or other unexpected circumstances which may affect the safety of the item.
